The Raytheon 5751 Windmill Getter is a really special American Made 12AX7 equivalent. The 5751 has a gain of 70, where a 12AX7 has a gain of 100. Most like the sound of a 5751 in place of a 12AX7 as it sounds more dynamic and less compressed. This variation of the tube has a getter structure that looks a little like a windmill, it is extended in both directions but has an incredibly warm and accurate mid-range. This is a tube that sits up there with some of the very best 5751s and 12AX7s ever made. We have 4 available and can make matched pairs if needed.
All tubes are tested on a AT1000 computerized tube tester at real world operating voltages (250 volts in the case of the 5751), one tested tubes are also matched at those voltages. For power tubes we match based on EM first and then GM. For small signal tubes we match based on GM then EM.
Please be aware that vintage vacuum tubes are antiques and carry no guarantee or warranty. We provide a sheet explaining what you purchased, your test results for your tubes, and if need be can provide photographs of the tube on the tube tester before we pack and ship them.
